The Clover Systems GUARDCHECK is an easy-to-use portable guard tour recorder designed to ensure that security guards carry out their tours at the specified times and frequency.
All the guard has to do is remove the unit from the base-station which recharges its batteries, switch it on, enter a 4-digit code to identify himself, and begin the tour.
Unique low-cost radio proximity identity cards, which do not require batteries, are fixed at important stages of the tour. The cards can be fixed on and read through brick, wood, glass and plaster to avoid tampering .At each stage the guard holds the unit within 3” (7.5cm) of the proximity card. A light flashes and an audio “beep” is emitted to indicate that a record has been made of the stage.
The unit stores records in its memory of the 790 most recent stages with time, date and guard number. When the supervisor of the guards wishes to check that tours have been correctly carried out he connects the report printer to to the base-station, which can also recharge the printer’s batteries, and uses the programming card supplied to obtain a full report. The programming card also allows only the supervisor to program the date and time and erase unwanted records.
